N A T H A N A E L T . M I L L E R -United States Navy-

Born in San Angelo, TX, in 1971, I am an
Air Force brat, so my upbringing took me
across the American South and out to old
Clark AFB in the Philippines. My dad got
stationed in the Eglin AFB area in northwest
Florida in 1986, and the Miller clan has
homesteaded there ever since. We ended
up in a small town outside of Eglin named
"Niceville", and, yes, it is a nice place to
live!
In 1990 I graduated from--you guessed
Australia, 2004.
it--Niceville High School. Ultimately I finished my degree at Florida State University. I
graduated in 1995 with a B.A. in American History. I had a short stint as a Curator's
Assistant at the state Museum of Florida History before budget cuts axxed that job. In
1997 I enlisted in the United States Navy.
After a tour in Spain at VQ-2, I was attached to VF-213, maintaining the mighty
F-14D Tomcat interceptor as a TARPS reconnaissance camera system and LANTIRN
laser-targeting system technician. Following this I landed on Guam in 2002 and spent
over three years on that incredible island (I fully plan to retire there!).
Currently I am a photojournalism instructor at the Defense Information School,
located on board Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. I will be at this assignment until
May of 2010. When not on duty, I sideline as a freelance photographer and reporter
for the local Bowie Blade-News, and I am available to do "pick up" jobs covering
events, activities, celebrations, etc, for private or civic groups.
